TDA2030

14W HiFi Audio Power Amplifier

The TDA2030 from SGS Thomson is a HiFi NF amplifier in a 5-pole Pentawatt package. With an operating voltage of 12-28 volts, it brings a maximum output power of 14 watts into 4 ohms / 9 watts into 8 ohms. The distortion factor is typically only 0.5%. Overtemperature and short-circuit protection ensure that the IC cannot be overloaded. The circuit has an input sensitivity of about 250 mV.

The heat sink should have a thermal resistance of about 4-5 K/W. A lower value, i.e. better heat dissipation, is not a bad idea. The cheapest is the V 5224 for 1,80€ (3,5 K/W), but with metal cases you can simply screw the power amplifier to the rear panel.
